ShyftSync support
ShyftSync helps shift workers and their partners find time together around work and predicted rest. The beta is for adults aged 18 and over, on iPhone with iOS 18 or later.
Email info@athenadatalabs.com for help or feedback. You can also use Send Beta Feedback in Apple’s TestFlight app.
Tell us what happened
Include your app version and build from ShyftSync Settings, your iPhone model, your iOS version, what you tried, and what happened. Please leave out sleep records, calendar exports, partner linking codes, and other people’s information. Check screenshots for private details before sending them.
Set up your schedule
Choose the work calendars you already use, enter a repeating pattern, or combine both. Review the shifts ShyftSync finds. If you use a calendar subscription, make sure it appears in Apple Calendar first. You can change calendar access in the iPhone Settings app.
Link with your partner
Each person sets up their own phone. In ShyftSync Settings, open Your partner and follow the linking steps. Keep both apps open while linking and let them finish syncing. If linking fails after an update, update both phones to the latest beta and try again. Keep your linking code private.
Updates arrive while the app is open
Open ShyftSync on both phones to exchange changes. An offline phone keeps its last received information; it may be out of date. Partner linking requires an internet connection. Your own schedule and predictions can still work on your phone.
Rest and calendar sharing are separate choices
Show when I’m resting shares predicted rest inside ShyftSync only when you turn it on. My Protected rest adds your own schedule-based predictions to a calendar. Partner free time requires permission from the sender and a separate export choice on the receiving phone. Calendar exports follow the selected calendar account’s sync and sharing settings.
Apple Health is optional
Sleep from Apple Health helps your own phone compare predicted and measured sleep. It is off until you enable it. Your partner does not receive your measured sleep. The beta is a planning tool; it does not diagnose a condition or determine whether you are safe to work or drive.
Stop sharing or start again
You can switch off optional sharing or unlink in Settings. Keep both apps online to deliver the change. Start over resets ShyftSync’s local setup. Removing ShyftSync does not remove your Apple Health records or events already saved in your calendar. See the ShyftSync privacy policy for the details.
